Columbia River & Willamette River Salmon Fishing Guides

Columbia river Spring Chinook Salmon

R&T Guide Service provides guided Salmon fishing trips for Spring Chinook otherwise known as “Springers” in the Columbia River and the Willamette river system from the Multnomah Channel to the Willamette Falls in Oregon City. We target the Spring Salmon run from March till the season closes. The current Spring Chinook Salmon size can range from 8 to 25 pounds and is one of the best eating Salmon the Pacific North West.

Spring Chinook Salmon in the Columbia River can be one of the toughest Salmon to catch. Patience while these fish sample your bait is critical, waiting for them to fully commit and take the bait can be a challenge!! What works one day may not work the next. Depending on the river and weather conditions we use bait or switch over to hardware to catch the illusive Spring Chinook. We use multiple techniques from diver and bait to trolling with 360’s & inline flashers with hardware like SpinFish, spinners and or bait.

All ages and fishing experience levels are more than welcome to book a trip with us!
